Client's Corner: Dr. Cliff Revell

Dr. Cliff Revell has been in practice for 28 years as a periodontist. He shares his newly decorated 8th floor office space with another periodontist and an endodontist. Dr. Revell is the Co-Director of Dental Implants for the Undergraduate program at the University of Alberta and 30% of his practice consists of implant services. In early 2000, Transitions was engaged to enhance the operational systems within the practice and to increase production and profitability.

Dr. Revell felt that he was a respected partner in the coaching process and able to maintain his treatment philosophy with minimal disruption through the change process and downtime in his practice. He felt his coach was experienced and integrated seamlessly into the team as one of them and they were pleased with the opportunity to have input into the process and therefore the results.

An example of his results was an unprecedented team success of 100% case acceptance from the months of February to May 2000. The communication skills learned have allowed him and his team to convert new patients to active patients. Dr. Revell believes his long-term committed team is now focused on the same goal and vision because of Transitions influence.

Developing client relations is and will continue to be a high priority for Dr. Revell and his team. As for the future, Dr. Revell is searching for an associate, with a practice philosophy similar to his, who will succeed him in the next 5-10 years.
