Dentistry DAKs is a campaign designed for all members of dentsitry to heighten their awareness of the positive impact that small acts of kindness have on every individual.

Transitions Group North America and Benco Dental currently have invested in 40,000 individually numbered bands across the world.

Remember, no act of kindness is too small, one kind act leads to another, and another, and another... Being on the lookout for kindness will transform your attitude and the dental community.

Think of DAK bands as an ongoing game of tag. Those doing kindness are caught in the act, tagged and now they're "it" -- on the lookout for acts of kindness that they can acknowledge with DAK bands.

1. Individuals and organizations can purchase a set of eight (8) DAK bands (4 pairs) for $5.00

2. Whether you have been given or purchased a set of DAK bands, begin by registering your bands on the website: dakbands.com. Once you have registered your bands, wear them in pairs on your right wrist and be prepared to offer them to individuals you catch being kind!

3. When you witness an act of kindness, acknowledge it by giving the persona pair of DAK bands, meant to be worn on their left wrist.

Here's how it could play out:

"Excuse me, I just saw you doing something really kind. We're acknowledging kindness by handing out DAK bands. May I offer you these two DAK bands to wear on your left wrist? It's sort of like taq, so now you're "it". Now, if you see someone doing something, kind, you can acknowledge them by passing along one of your DAK bands. Thanks."

4. The "tag" continues, as you give away all four pairs of your original set and the four people you gave them to give one of their bands to four other people!

Kindness can change the world. And world-changing kindness starts with one deliberate act. Your one act can lead to another and another and another...

By encouraging people to be on the lookout for kindness, you can transform the focus of your community.
