How do we get patients and acquaintances to talk about us, promote us, and help us build the practice? Think about the last time that you referred someone to a business or service and why you did. It is what "exceeded your expectations" that set them apart. Whenever expectations are exceeded, the experience becomes notable and memorable.

Divide a page for each area above into two columns headed with "What's working well" and "What could be better". Analyze your new patient flow over the past year. Ask your patients! Ask outside your practice. Do you have internal and external marketing strategies?
Compile and assess the information you have gathered.
Clearly define objectives or strategies and write them down.
Identify who is responsible for each objective or strategy.
Set a target date for accomplishment.
Evaluate your success!
