DR. WALTER HEIDARY

The philosophy of Dr. Walter Heidary is that excellence in dentistry goes far beyond the technical skills of the doctor and his or her team. It also incorporates a genuine concern for the well being of each patient. This is evident as you enter the serenity of this practice on the west mountain of Hamilton, Ontario.

Dr. Heidary began his relationship with Transitions seven years ago. Three years ago he purchased his practice and looked to Transitions for support with interviewing and integrating an associate. He also sought support for his team in the hygiene department as well as practice management and leadership.

Dr. Heidary established a strong foundation as his team discovered that greater things happen when individuals are allowed to work with their strengths in smaller teams. This allows the larger team to focus on client service. "Do your work and the outcome will come."

Dr. Heidary believes that his greatest asset is his strong team of leaders, consisting of two dentists, four hygienists, four dental assistants, three administrators, two facilitators and one self-care coordinator. Continuing education is a necessity for this team to fulfill their commitment to client service for their patients.

Working with children is Dr. Heidary's passion. Children explore the self-care room where there is an environment of safety, trust and openness. The self-care coordinator assists the children in understanding their dental experiences and motivates them to look forward to return visits.

A "state of the art" daycare and dental office is scheduled to open in July 2002. Here, Dr. Heidary and his team will continue to meet the individual needs of their patients, both children and adults. We are delighted for Dr. Heidary and his team.
